Day 20 31 Days of Halloween~Any Body Will Do

Any BODY home, CT Anne askes ever so patiently...

I "had" to do a tag on a dress form theme.  Since I'm posting about it here, you can assume it won't be pretty pretty. I also have a metre-high stash of kiwiana scrapbooking papers. (And I'm NOT a scrapbooker LOL)  One of the patterns is of grey boiling mudpools – perfect colouring for this idea - cut to shape and glued over the manilla tag! I can stamp a dressform or body outline onto that.

And thanks to this Blog's team I've been exposed to pictures being manipulated digitally to appear ghost-like, and thought something could be done “manually”. See how the Grim Reaper looks on paper, and how ethereal it looks on organza in comparison:

Texture paste was applied inside the stamped body shape, then stamped with a texture stamp, and when dried, given a wash of moonshadow “paint” - brown with shimmering mica in different lights to give a graveyard phosphorence. It will show up through the organza in a more ghostly fashion too.

Last time I saw a dress form, the skirt was covered in petals – very girly-pretty. But not for my Grim Reaper – s/he gets bones: The bones were stamped with versamark onto more mudpool-patterned         paper, and heat embossed with Obsidian-green. One bone was cut in half and tucked into the texture paste before it dried. The larger bones were cut in half too, then folded down the middle lengthways, and attached with a glow in the dark thread to the organza over the dress form. The smaller bones are attached with thinner metallic thread.
