Day 28, 31 Days of Halloween - hocus pocus

Welcome to a 22nd day of the 31 DOH
For today, I made a very bony tag.

Squashed paint, gesso, embossing, rub-ons,
stampping (stamps from LCD: Dancing Skeletons, Bird Bones) ...

Hmmm, I wonder if he just made the bird to be a skeleton or
is he making magic to create wings, so it could fly again.

If you are doing the hop, you'll find the road
on the sidebar ---->>>

and a wee reminder to link up your
weird, dark, alternative  creation HERE,
for a change to win this dancer:

Monster Madness~Blog Party May 28th 2016

Thanks for hopping by today! We are playing along in something a bit new today, the May Monster Madness Blog Party! This party is just getting started and there are a bunch more stops to make!

Grumpoyles - Are they Little Grumpies suffering multiple personality disorder?  Are they Gargoyles pretending to have skills needed for Immigration to allow them in?  It was very late, almost dusk on a sunny Spring evening when this motley assortment made it to the Down Under Asylum.

Incognito?  I don't think so!  But some of them are certainly making free with an ornate candlestick, which is a bit batty.  Maybe they think it is a Christmas Tree, and they are the most fabulous ornaments it could ask for!

Perhaps Immigration needs to check each one.
Toothoyl:
Obviously won't be a drain on our orthodontic budget with these well-honed teeth.  The gargoyle silhouette was over-stamped with a tree bark background from Smeared Ink's Urban Decay set.  A row of gold nuggets (rhinestones) suggest this guy is well set up for any future dental care.

Zomboyl
Clearly this Gargoyl has eaten something that disagrees with him - that half-digested torso trying to get out... or is it reaching for an Asylum Nurse?  At least it arrived with some precious gems in its claws.

Fangoyl
Another wealthy immigrant, a row of precious gem nuggets.  But that spider - is it coming, or going?  Do we need to fumigate?

Punkoyl
Apparently this fellow dodged the Gargoyle Complex and flew in under his own steam. (steam? Get it?  Steampunk?  Sure?  You really got it now?  A Steampunk Lil Grumpie?  Just born last month?) Clever you are!!!

Spydoyl
Well Well Well!  Is this a spider trying to sneak past our stringent biosecurity?  We had to take a swab and do some DNA testing before this punky character was allowed to stay.

Just as we thought they had all arrived and been processed, another stumped in:  From the Fringe set, you have to wonder about a being that has a woman at its throat (and a pelvis from another stamp co)

So there we have it, an even half-dozen critters.  The Family Portrait (in dusky sunlight):

Lost Coast Designs have an Articulated Skeleton that's been getting a real workout from me the past couple of months - the pelvis on Stumpoyl is part of the set.
Smeared Ink have all the other stamps, I have them in rubber except for the Steampunk Grumpies.  They were mostly stamped, coloured, fussy-cut then glued to gargoyle silhouettes which had been cit from cereal boxes -  they even had their own food for the journey!
The background in all the pictures is the piece of heavy packing paper that has spent some time in the "spray booth" - so many different colours from Lindy's Stamp Gang pile up and create something that will be marvvellous to recycle into different projects.
P.S.  Some would say such a "family" would have their own furbaby.  You'll just have to backtrack to Dargoyle on Carmen's Veranda facebook picture to see that beastie.

It's going to take some serious therapy to help these guys DISintegrate their personalities, so life's going to be pretty scary round here - perfectly normal, in other words!
BUT..... Halloween 2016 and WATCH OUT!!!!

DT Granne here hopping to the partyyyyyyy!
And I'm bringing a AJ page with me.

Stamps used: Lost Coast Designs: ATC Faces and
Vampire skull by Rick St Dennis.

Looks like he's been BAD, bad boy - and maybe still is...

CT kim last to the party as always!
I have an excuse, realllllly I do...
I was helping Miss Frankie get ready for the Midnight Ball!

Miss Frankie is a fabulous fashionista designed by the ever so talented Ike of Ike's Art
She had to get her green on and no time to waste!

Skelly bat up top is a fabulous Holiday Happy Mail stencil
received from the wicked Granne. The stencil is made by Panduro Hobby.
The clockface with hand is a rubber stamp I acquired from a crafty de-stash, unlabeled.
It might be Third Coast.

Thanks for looking, now off to the Ball!
But wait!!!
Come back and link up your creatively creative Monster Makes with us,

Christmas Tagging - Naughty, or Nice? and Sue Tells All!

We would like to thank each of you for playing with us this 8 months and for the support you have given us!  And we want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year's!  What better way to end Creepmas than with CT Anne's holiday tag?  None, so here it is!

Are we talking Cemetary Graffitti here?

Well! We all know Santa is a jolly know-it-all, that implies wisdom. Owls are "known" for wisdom, so does that make Santa an Owl? Stampendous provided the Tombstone Owl image, then glitter pens and Lindys Stamp Gang sprays were washed on. The printer got a workout with the "sentiment", and the bat (it wouldn't be Creepmas without a bat!) is a QuikKutz die.

I can never leave the backside of a tag blank.  A recently-deleted Rick St Dennis image! Full of glitter pens, Lindys Stamp Gang sprays, and the eyeballs built up with 3 layers of sepia glossy accents. Not the easiest to photograph - why don't I THINK before pulling the glitz out! The wee sprays of mistletoe are from viva las vegas stamps

 Love them bones!
We can't wait to see how Sue's tale of Kevin ends so here we go!

It was the day before Creepmas Eve. All was fairly peaceful.. No unwanted visitors, no Creepmas movies. The Demon couch was out on the front porch just in case Nan tried to plump up the cushions.. Leigh had a go and got a nasty nip. Kevin was helping Fifi clear up the kitchen when he heard the strangest sounds. A loud scuffle and banging and shout-singing. Deborah opened the front door and... carol singers! They were trying to drag the couch off the porch or at least to pull some boots out from under a cushion. It turns out that Polly had wanted a rest and had sat down when really she should have been singing with gusto. The couch had still been feeling a bit peckish and had nibbled her bum. She had obviously tasted quite nice because the next thing she knew was that she had become tangled in the springs and bones. Dan thought he should at least make a bit of money through the loss of one of his singers and started rattling his tin but all he ended up getting was a full card of forged Morrison's stamps (Without an M) (These really are getting forged...we know 'cos ours were checked yesterday) By the time the rest of the ladies gathered at the bottom of the stairs Dan and his group had elbowed their way into the hall and refused to leave.

Donna had found a spell left over from Halloween and, after a quick chat with Val, it was decided to have a go at building a portal. Donna and Fiona read through the instructions and started measuring up the downstairs loo. Val was handing round eggnog with squash for those who arrived on broomsticks. When Donna and Fiona slipped back into the hall the portal puddle opened. Now all that was needed was to simply wait until the copious amounts of eggnog and juice did their job and the requests to use the 'powder room'.... the two witches queued  outside whilst Gary went in. The door creaked open again.. the loo was empty. oh well.. Petra, who was so skinny that Kevin had seen more meat on a Butcher's pencil went on in whilst Cathy went back to see if the snakes needed 'to go'. She collected them and the rats and went back to the empty room. She stepped inside and locked the door. Once again the door opened and in went Kitty. Now there were more singers in the loo than were in the living room. When the door opened after the final 'visitor' Kevin took a photo of the full portal and placed a notice on the door just to remind him not to enter till the spell wore off...

Thanks to our Creative Guest Sue for a brilliant story to get us this far to through Creepmas! We hope you all remember this month's challenge runs until the very last day of  the month and year! even though we will be partying at the house and might not notice you dropping your entries off!  And don't forget to come see us on January 1st...we have heard whispers in the fog of some awesomeness to come!

Happy Holidays from the Dream in Darkness Creative Team to you and yours!!

CT Granne presents...

Tag time here at the Dream in Darkness, my second make for the amazing

I used Lindy's Stamp Gang powders to create the background,
and embossed Lost Coast Designs Oracle of the Seven Enigmas.

I used the same stamp (Oracle of the Seven Enigmas) to stamp on the shrinking plastic sheet and then took some old jewels to make a little bling.

And then a few stickers ...

CT Anne's "Frankinella"

As usual, we gave you just a sneak peek at CT Anne's make with Frankinella an image by Ike's Art the we held a day long celebration with yesterday!  So without our words bogging you down, here is Anne's words to tell the story!

" A Midnight beach party perhaps, with everyone flying or hopping in to join Frankinella? And an awfully cheery prophylactic on the horizon promising to keep her happy. Though the barbed legend surely hints at a darker tale."

"Oh No!!!! She's a Princess Frankinella! And she's not happy about all these frogs jumping at her wanting to be kissed. But *sigh* they just can't help themselves, despite the warning in the skies."

SUPPLIES
Don't you just love shopping at suppliers who also offer freebies? Besides Frankinella from Ikes Art (THANK YOU IKE!), when I was pushing a trolley round Mischief Circus I stumbled over a hatching baby dragon set https://www.mischiefcircus.com/shop/product.php?productid=18716&cat=0&page=1
I have a metre-high stack of kiwiana scrapbook papers - used just one of them here.
Rubber stamps are from:

Wow! What a difference light makes to this situation!  The poor frogs...uh oh!  Has CT Anne been behind the Evil Froggy abduction of CT Nan???  She knows this will anger Evil Froggy so badly!  We fear we may never get poor old CT Nan back with us!  And to know now, that CT Anne must be involved! Oh the horror we are facing here at Dream in Darkness!  Who will be next?  CT Kim? CT Granne? I don't think CT Anne has to worry, do you?

We hate to beg but our only hope is for you to enter your most awesome projects as soon as possible!  What will happen if we are all gone?  CT Anne will run the asylum as dictator!  Oh how we are in a state of panic!  Hurry and help us defeat Evil Froggy and reverse the mind control over CT Anne!  Thank yo.................................................................................................................

It's Time for Another One from CT Anne

The fabulous Anne is back with another show stopper!  These bats are flying away from something.....and the sentiment suggests why they are fleeing!

Here are Anne's words on this marvelous ATC"

If a picture says a thousand words... do you really think you could write that many on an ATC? There's something about bats that many people find creepy. David Attenborough merely found they gassed him out when he went into their cave. So here we are, escaping the cave - or whatever opening the gate was across. For background, some random blue sprays from Lindys Stamp Gang were left to dry before inking up the Queen Kat bat background stamp. Rubber Stamp Ave provided the Odd Creature, heat embossed then coloured bright yellow, as well as the silhouette character, also heat-embossed for a tactile experience . And viva las vegas stamps provided the "sentiment" - if that's what the 6 words express

We thought this would be an appropriate thought to leave you with today!  The gates ARE opening SOON here at Dream in Darkness Challenge!

It's "Anything Goes" as long as it goes dark!  We have lots for you to read here on the blog that has been posted so far!

Save the date, the gate will open May 1st and keep visiting us as we get the bat cave..uh oh I mean house ready!

More goodies coming your way leading up to the 1st and we are so excited to have visitors!  Tell your dark side friends and then get convert your cute side friends to create something for the very first challenge of Dream in Darkness!
